Iridescencia is a short film that transforms a joyful and peaceful family reunion and splits into a painful memory of a migraine attack. Fluidly shifting between outer reality and inner experience, juxtaposing the concept of Iridescence, the way of colors interplay when seen fromdifferent angles, as the main symbol. Starting off with warm and natural light in the gathering colors morph and shimmer unnaturally as the pain intensifies.
Depicting it into a symbolic and unsettling sensory experience. The pain of a migraine only multiplies and trying to sleep it off, instead of feeling relief, the film shifts into abstraction to represent the inside perspective of one’s mind where the pain lies. Engulfed in distorted visions depicted by waves of different colors, and colourful imagery that embodies the overwhelming pain. These surreal visuals are used to externalize the inner chaos that are the 4 stages of a migraine.
